New Look

The clothing retailer New Look reached out to our university asking for designs for the parts of the store where a new clothing range will be displayed. They wanted mural designs for a big wall canvas behind where the clothes would be displayed and designs on other places, such a column panels and a mirror.

My friend and I were working on designs for the mirror, for a sort of 'selfie station', to encourage people to take their photos there. We used this list of vinyl colours to create our designs, as they wanted us to use vinyl to put the artwork up into the shop.

You can see below in the images, the first is the list of vinyl colours we have to work with. We used only a section of the colours however, as we were sticking to a specific colour palette. The second image is of my friend from university, being a brilliant model for the mirror that the designs would go on.

The next three pictures are designs I have created, trying to fit the brief and theme of Newcastle and something to encourage people to take pictures in. The first is a skyline of Newcastle with a sort of camera lens shape at the top. The second is more of a Polaroid look and the third has a variety of hats and mask-type designs that people could chose to take a photo in.
